On September 26, 2024, Mrs. Yetunde Ilori, the dynamic new President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), made a landmark courtesy visit to the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria (ILAN) at their headquarters in Lagos. In a show of unity and strength within Nigeria’s insurance sector, Mrs. Ilori was accompanied by an esteemed entourage of CIIN Governing Council members, including past presidents Mr. Adeda, Sir Oyegunle, and Mr. Edwin Igbiti, the immediate past president.

The ILAN leadership, led by President Pastor Diipo Olanrewaju, gave a warm and enthusiastic welcome. Alongside him were other ILAN council members, including respected past presidents Alhaji Femi Hassan and Mr. Reginald Egbuniwe. The gathering brought together some of the most influential figures in the insurance and loss adjusting sectors, setting the stage for strategic dialogue and collaboration.

In her powerful and forward-thinking speech, Mrs. Ilori expressed heartfelt gratitude to ILAN for their unwavering support during her investiture. She passionately emphasized ILAN’s critical role in the insurance landscape and called for deeper collaboration across all arms of the industry. Mrs. Ilori unveiled her administration’s vision, encapsulated in the acronym ‘EPIC,’ which stands for Education, Professionalism, Institutional Recognition, and Capacity Building. She highlighted that her goal is not just to lead, but to unify and elevate the entire insurance industry, encouraging all stakeholders to work as one cohesive unit.
Pastor Olanrewaju, in his response, expressed admiration for Mrs. Ilori’s visionary leadership and reaffirmed ILAN’s commitment to supporting her ambitious agenda. He emphasized ILAN’s readiness to collaborate with CIIN and expand partnerships with the College of Insurance to further strengthen the sector.

The meeting wrapped up with mutual expressions of gratitude from both CIIN and ILAN registrars, Mrs. Abimbola Tiamiyu and Mr. Femi Tayo.
